ABOUT
Seesaw Tamaire
Seesaw Tamaire is a peculiar “tamaire” played with a seesaw-like wobbly basket.
“Tamaire”, a popular traditional game played in Japanese sports festivals, is a ball-toss game in which you throw balls into a basket set on a high pole.
Be careful not to put too many balls in the basket!
With too many balls in the basket, the basket might flip over and drop all the balls causing you to lose all the points!
When it is your offense turn to score points, try not to flip over the basket.
But when it is your defense turn, try to flip over the basket.
Win the game by cooperating with your team!

RULE
Seesaw Tamaire ルール
RULE
-
01RULE
There are 2 teams, and each team should consist 2-8 players.
-
02RULE
Each offense turn lasts for 30 seconds. Both the offense team and the defense team throw the balls in the same basket.
-
03RULE
The number of balls remaining at the end of the “attacking time” will be the score for the offense team.
-
04RULE
However, the basket used in this sport will flip over if there are too many balls thrown in the basket. If the basket flips over, it will be 0 points from that moment.
-
05RULE
Your goal is to keep as many balls in the basket when it is your offense turn. Also, your another goal is to flip over the basket when it is the opponent’s offense turn in order to cause their points to be 0 at the end of the game.
-
06RULE
Each team has 2 offense turns in total, so there will be 4 rounds in total; first offense turn for team 1, first offense turn for team 2, second offense turn for team 1, and second offense turn for team 2. The total points from the 4 rounds are calculated.
-
07RULE
If the basket flipps over, the game will be paused as well as the timer. The game will restart with the referee’s sign.
-
08RULE
Attempting to knock over a ball by hitting it directly against the basket, obstructing an opponent, or holding the ball is a foul (the maximum number of balls that can be held is four at the same time).
-
09RULE
When a foul is detected, the referee will make appropriate decisions such as deducting points.
-
10RULE
The key to victory is to have tactics and strategies shared within the team to beat the opposing team.
Not putting too many balls on your offense turn on purpose, or putting as many balls as possible on your defense turn may be one of the many tactics for this game.
