【Buri-okoshi Time】
If you score a point during “Buri-okoshi Time”, you will “Tokushin” (be promoted by two levels).
Fouls which does not stop the game:
“Su-re” (fisherman word for damage): If a field player drops the Buri, they get sent to the fridge (voluntarily or following the referee’s instruction). The play does not stop.
Fouls which stops the game:
“Darabutsu” (stupid) : If you throw the ball with the other hand from which you are holding the Buri. After the referee calls the foul, everyone from the opposing team says “Darabutsu!”
“Ogakeru” (broken): When there is body contact made on purpose by the offensive/defensive team.
“Syowashinai” (in a rush): Over step. When you take more than 3 steps without dribbling.
“Hayosehma” (Do it quickly) : If you hold the ball for more than 3 seconds without moving.
“Kettobasu” (kicking) : If you kick the ball on purpose, it is considered as a foul.
“Oodo” (rough): Line cross. When you cross or enter the goal zone line.
“Su-re” (fisherman word of damage) If the goalkeeper drops their buoy, the opposing team earns a penalty throw. *the goalkeeper’s “Su-re” will not cause them to be sent to the fridge.

Himi city in Toyama prefecture is located on the north west of the Toyama bay facing the sea of Japan. Toyama bay is listed as one of the world’s most beautiful bays.
Himi city is a fishing city which prospered as the place of origin for the “Etchu style fixed net fishing method”. Various types of fishes are caught from the Toyama bay, also known as the “natural fish tank”. Especially the “promotion fish”, Buri (yellowtail) from is known across the country as the brand fish of “Winter Buri of Himi”.
Handball is also popular in Himi city. Every March, they continuously host the “Spring All Japan Middle School Handball Tournament”. Handball is an identity sport for the citizens of Himi.
